I love salt!  But, of course, I don’t want to eat foods loaded with excess sodium, which is known to increase the risk of high blood pressure, stroke and kidney failure.

Most processed food is just loaded with unhealthy salt!

However, we need some salt and in my experience trying to eliminate sodium completely just creates deprivation which leads to overeating and binging, most likely on foods that are very high in salt.

In fact, on August 14, 2014, the New England Journal of Medicine reported a study that examined heart disease. The study concluded that low-salt diets may not be as beneficial as experts had assumed. 5102zSF-TTL._AA160_

The salt that I love to use, and I use liberally on all my delicious, unprocessed foods is: Selina Natural Celtic Sea Salt

The moist organic Light Grey Celtic Sea Salt is my favorite.  It is lower in sodium than most salt and is guilt free because it has all the trace minerals that your body needs.

I have used this brand of sea salt for years and I trust them completely.  They have had third party testing on their salt confirming that their Celtic Sea Salt is rich in Magnesium, Potassium, Chromium, Zinc, Vanadium and other much needed trace minerals.  Harvested is Europe, dried by the wind and the sun, the salt enhances any food with it’s tasty, natural flavor.

It tastes delicious, too!  I add it to all my vegetables, meats, chicken, salmon, salads, and even my oatmeal!

Since I don’t eat sugar and I avoid sweet tastes since I am a carbohydrate addict in remission, I want flavor!  The Selina Natural Celtic Sea Salt gives me that great satisfying taste, while allowing me to eat healthfully.
