Even though the world is steadily moving towards body positivity and political correctness, there’s little to stop people from being too nasty to you. It isn’t easy dealing with all the hate that’s directed at you and can easily lead to self-esteem issues, depression, and even suicidal thoughts.

Don’t let that happen.

Overcoming Toxicity

It isn’t easy overcoming all the toxicity around you. People aren’t nice to you—for no fault of your own—and it directly affects your wellbeing. It affects not just how you interact with people; it affects how you view yourself. And you begin viewing yourself as ugly—and that’s the first mistake you’re making. We realize it isn’t an easy thing to do, and we realize that it’s difficult to dismiss what others are saying to you, but it has to be done.

For your own health and wellness, you have to give the naysayers around you a cold shoulder. You have to mute their taunts and jibes because there’s only one thing you can do right now—and it’s this:

Focus on Yourself

an obese lady who is happily working towards self-improvementFocus on working on yourself. Just because you have managed to convince yourself that you’re great as is (which is good!) doesn’t mean you should give up on your dreams of living a healthier, happier lifestyle. But do it for yourself. Do it because you worry about your health and want to take care of yourself. Do it because you want to live a long life with your grandchildren and watch them grow up—not because somebody taunted you about it and now you can’t get it out of your head.

How to Make Amends

Start by fixing yourself and making changes in your lifestyle. Don’t listen to anyone who tells you that obesity isn’t curable—it can be overcome. Many of Rena Greenberg’s clients have done it and are now living happy, contented lives. You can opt for any of the many options available to you, but the best would be to tune in to a weight loss hypnotherapy session  or try out gastric bypass self-hypnosis. You can also try her weight loss recipes, which are known to be very effective.

Whatever happens, keep telling yourself that you’re the best version of yourself, regardless of how you look. As for how you look, you can always change that for the better. But if you let what people say get to you, you’ll fall into the trap of negative-thinking which will discourage you from putting in any efforts towards betterment.
